This week we learn about Dressage Seat Equitation Awards, start a new four-part series on helping your horse to perform its best, and in the American Dressage Legends segment, we feature 2007 Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame inductee, Major General Jonathan Burton.
Coralie Hughes, Coatesville, IN, is a Certified Practitioner of the Masterson Method of Performance Equine Bodywork. In addition to being a USDF Bronze medalist, Coralie is also a German to English translator and co-author of the Dressage Movements Revealed DVD set and The Dressage Horse Optimized.

This week we have the 2017 Adequan/USDF FEI-Level Trainers Conference presenters Lilo Fore and Hans-Christian Matthiesen sharing their tips for riding lateral movements and pirouettes. Training conference rider Beatrice Marienau also joins us to talk about her system for keeping, Stefano 8, her wonderful 18- year -old Grand Prix horse, happy and sound.
Lilo Fore, Santa Rosa, CA, is a recently retired FEI 5* and Para 3* Judge. She is a licensed USEF "S" and DSHB "R" dressage judge. Lilo is a founder of the USDF Instructor/Trainer Program and is the current chair of the Instructor /Trainer Committee.
Hans-Christian Matthiesen, Denmark, is an FEI 5* Judge and newly elected President of the International Dressage Officials Club. A veterinarian by profession, Matthiesen has been a member of the Danish Equestrian Federation’s Board of Directors and chair of the Danish selection committee.

This week USEF Senior dressage judge, Kathy Rowse, shares some of her pet peeves and advice from a judge’s point of view. In the education segment, we have the final section on strategic planning for riders; and in our third segment, we continue our American Legends series with a look at the 2002 Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of fame recipient, Lazelle Knocke.
Kathy Rowse, Suffolk, VA, owns and operates Silverleaf Farm with her husband Mike. Kathy is a USEF “S” dressage Judge, USDF L Program faculty member, and member of the USEF Youth Committee. She is a USDF Gold, Silver, and Bronze medalist who has coached numerous students to their USDF medals.
Jen Verharen, Vashon, WA, is an L graduate with distinction, a USDF certified Instructor, USDF Bronze & Silver Medalist, USPC graduate A, USPC National Examiner, and certified Health and Wellness Coach. Her business, Cadence Coaching, specializes in providing performance coaching and business training for equestrians.
