This week, #1 Best Selling Author Peter Dove joins us to discuss the new edition of his book Master Dressage. In Vet Connections, Dr. Stephen Reed from Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital joins us for part two of an in-depth discussion on equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM).
Peter Dove, Hungerford, UK, has been riding, teaching, and learning dressage for over 25 years. He has developed systematic ways of explaining how to improve results competing at dressage.Peter is taught by Mary Wanless, BHSI, BSc, and considers her teachings of rider biomechanics to be one of the main keys to success at all levels of riding.
Stephen Reed, DVM, Dipl, ACVIM, Lexington, KY, graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr.Reed is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and practices out of Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital. Dr Reed’s main interest is in equine neurology with a special interest in equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM), “wobbler” syndrome,and equine herpes virus myeloencephalopathy.

This week Cheryl Erpelding joins us to talk about her interview with Eddie Garcia who received the Best Groom award from Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), exercises in our Education Segment, and we continue the focus on back pain in dressage horses with the final of a three-part series by Dr. Myhre recorded at the Adequan®/ USDF Annual Convention education session named "The Science and Treatment of Back Lameness"
Cheryl Erpelding, San Diego, CA, is a freelance photographer and amateur rider based in southern California. She is the former owner and publisher of California Riding Magazine.
Dr. Grant Myhre, DVM, Rochester, NH, has been performing surgeries for over 30 years and is interested in improving diagnostic imaging modalities. Dr. Myhre was the first in northern New England to pioneer innovations from arthroscopy to digital radiology and serves the New England equestrian community at the Myhre Equine Clinic.

This week we are joined by co-author of The Dressage Horse Optimized, Coralie Hughes, to talk about the Masterson Method and how it can benefit dressage horses. In the education segment, Sarah Martin joins us to elaborate on the article, "Snaffle or Double", from the May issue of USDF Connection. We continue the focus on back pain in dressage horses with part one of a three part series by Dr. Myhre recorded at the Adequan®/ USDF Annual Convention education session named "The Science and Treatment of Back Lameness".
Coralie Hughes of Coatesville, IN. is a Masterson Method practitioner and advanced level instructor. Coralie co-authored with Jim Masterson, the "Dressage Movements Revealed" DVD set and the book The Dressage Horse Optimized. Coralie is an L Graduate with Distinction.
Sarah Martin of Blanca, CO, is a member of the USDF Certified Instructor Faculty. She is a Certified Instructor through Fourth Level, an L Graduate with Distinction, as well as having earned her USDF Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals.
