The Alltech/FEI World Equestrian Games get under way this week and we will hear from Jessica Ransehousen as she previews the competition. Annie Morris will share some tips on the 10 meter circle. But first we will hear from Stephan Hienzsch, USDF Executive Director, as he talks about the upcoming US Dressage Finals, presented by Adequan.
Jessica Ransehousen, Coatesville,PA, was inducted into the Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame in 2001 and was recently recognized as a USDF Honorary Instructor. Jessica served as chef d'equipefor the United States Dressage Team at the 1992, 1996, and 2000 Olympic Games, at the 1990 and 1994 World Equestrian Games, and at the 1991 and 1995Pan American Games. She represented the U.S. in three Olympic Games (1960,1964, and 1988) as well as in the 1959 Pan American Games and is an FEI 3*judge.Wednesday Aug 20, 2014

Betsy Steiner, is a USDF Honorary Instructor,was a member of the 1990 WEG Team and provided commentary for the videos of the1995 World Cup and the 1996 Olympic Games. She is the author of "A Gymnastic Riding System using Mind, Body & Spirit", "Get in Tone with Your Horse" (an audio CD) and "Equilates Stretch Workout". This week USDF announces Kathy Connelly and Betsy Steiner have teamed up as co-clinicians for the Nutrena/USDF Adult Series starting in the spring of 2015. We remember 1998 Roemer Foundation/USDF Hall of Fame Inductee Colonel Bengt Ljungquist. Cindy Sydnor gives instructors tips for addressing the seat of the rider and we hear from Christy Baxter, Director USEF Properties and Event Manager for the Adequan/FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Championships, presented by Gotham North as this event celebrates its 40th Anniversary.
